Businesses plan where they want to go, and how to get there. Politicians talk about where they want to go, at least where they claim to want to go. In general these plans cover a time span no longer than 3 to 5 years, at most.
Although we all understand that science and technology are strong drivers of change, we do not put much effort in planning technology driven change. Sciences and technologies are developed and tested and improved, bit by bit. But where does all this development take us?
